Anxiety and Stress

There are two main types of anxious feelings – You feel a general sense of anxiety and aren't sure why. You become worried about your anxious feelings and have what could be described as a general sense of fear or dread and can't seem to shake it off.

The other main type is triggered by specific situations which you find difficult and stressful. This can be in a variety of different settings, maybe at work or in relationships or being out and about in public.

Both these types can give rise to panic attacks which feel overwhelming and sometimes seem to come out of the blue. You will typically have a racing heart and shortness of breath and be shaking uncontrollably etc – everyone whose experienced this has different symptoms but it feels utterly frightening – even life threatening.

I can help you make sense of these feelings and explore with you personal strategies to help you manage and learn to control the symptoms.
